September 2018, I went to Moldova on a European Voluntary Service out of curiosity. I went somewhere to which I would never have ventured, I worked in an international organization (glimpsing some of the realities of foreign aid) and I familiarised myself with a culture I wouldn’t have known of or grown fond of.

Beneficiaries and supporters are welcome to join the UNA Exchange Board of Trustees and Director to review the charity’s activity and accounts for the year ending 31 March 2019.
At UNA Exchange we are recruiting two highly-driven individuals to join our team. The roles comprise a Programme Officer and an Interim Programmes Manager; the latter, to cover a period of maternity leave. Both posts are initially offered on a fixed-term, eight-month contract with potential for extension subject to funding. Both are part-time roles at 0.8 FTE (28 hours / 4 days per week) and will be based at our office at the Temple of Peace, Cardiff, with some travel required.

In December 2018 UNA Exchange held an event at the Welsh National Assembly to celebrate the charity’s 45th anniversary and demonstrate the impact of global exchanges to and from Wales, coinciding with International Volunteer Day for Economic and Social Development.
