International Organisation for Migration Mission to Moldova.

Established in 1951, International Organization for Migration (IOM) is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM Mission to Moldova was opened in 2001. IOM works to help ensure the orderly and human management of migration, to promote international cooperation on migration issues, to assist in the search for practical solutions to migration problems and to provide humanitarian assistance to migrants in need, including refugees and internally displaced people.

Project:

The working week of a volunteer will consists of the following implemented activities of administrative and assisting type:

- providing administrative assistance in the office: logistics, maintaining the files, updating mailing lists, post, faxing, copying

- updating information on the website– www.iom.md

- when the volunteer will learn local language s/he can help with translations and proof reading of the documents

- assisting with research on specific topics: human rights issues, civil society, NGO development, youth initiatives, and civic participation upon request of supervisor/ unit managers

When do the project start? ASAP - October 2017

Who can apply? Anyone aged 18-30 – UK resident before and after departure, valid passport for at least 6 months year after end of activity
