Office and Virtual Volunteering
UNA Exchange has six paid staff members, however our programme of activities is far bigger than what six people alone could manage! At our busy offices in central Cardiff, we have many volunteers supporting our work; some on an occasional basis, some full-time and some on a regular basis. We also have volunteers assisting from wherever they live, which may not be local to Cardiff, with work which can be done electronically.Office volunteers work on a wide range of projects and tasks, arranged according to their skills and interests and the needs of UNA Exchange. Examples of current volunteer work includes organising fundraising events, preparing our marketing/publicity strategy, organising weekend projects, preparing country profiles for preparation/training events, clerical/administrative tasks and updating the UNA Exchange website.
Volunteering in our offices can be a good way of gaining experience in a busy office, understanding how an international exchange organisation works and developing your own ideas for new projects or activities. UNA Exchange is a friendly team and the office environment is relaxed, if very busy at times. We appreciate very much the huge amount of time that volunteers give to the organisation and we try to give as much support as possible to all volunteers, including of course those who work in the offices. Volunteers working in the office receive travel expenses and a lunch allowance.
If you are interested in volunteering in the UNA Exchange offices, please contact us at or cal us on 029 2022 3088. We will contact you to arrange a time to come in and have a chat about what you would like to do.
We try to be as welcoming and flexible as possible with volunteers, but we are unable to provide accommodation for volunteers not living in Cardiff/South Wales.
