What is the ESC?

The European Solidarity Corps is the new European Union initiative which creates opportunities for young people to volunteer or work in projects in their own country or abroad that benefit communities and people around Europe. It enables young people aged 17 to 30 years to live up to 12 months in another country while working in a non-profit organisation. ESC aims to improve young people’s skills whilst encountering different cultures, meeting people from across the world and learning a new language.

UNA Exchange is an approved coordinating organisation for ESC in Wales and the wider UK. We work in partnership with third sector organisations in Wales to enable young volunteers from the EU and participating partner countries to have an incredible experience, living and working in Wales for up to 12 months.

Applying for ESC in Wales with UNA Exchange

Demand for places on our projects is very high and placements are often organised well in advance. To stand the best chance of finding a place you should keep an eye on our Facebook page, this webpage and the European Youth Portal.

If you are interested in a project then be sure to make your application the best ever, address all the points in detail using real examples from your own work, study, leisure and volunteering activities.

If you see a project you are interested in then please contact a coordinating organisation in your home country who will support you in submitting your application form. We look forward to welcoming you in Wales!

After EVS I feel like nothing is impossible.
